Clandeboye Estate wedding

Well exactly two years ago my husband Andrew and I got married in Clandeboye Courtyard and it was such a joy (and a wee bit surreal) to be back there this weekend on the other side of the camera.  Harriet and Simon had an incredible wedding service in St George’s Church in Belfast and then headed to Clandeboye for the celebrations.  A fantastic group of people…

Botanic Gardens Engagement Shoot…

Well the summer as definitely arrived and this pair couldn’t have chosen a better day for their engagement photo shoot in Botanic Gardens.  Their love story is incredible and it has culminated in Haley moving from Kentucky to marry the love of her life, can’t wait to be a part of it later this year.  For now here are a few sunny shots of today’s fun in the park…

Kirsty & Brandon at Lusty Beg

Lusty Beg has long been one of my favourite spots to photograph, it has everything, the beautiful Fermanagh countryside, fantastic staff and a jetty on a lake!!!  No wonder Kirsty and Brandon decided it was where they wanted to tie the knot.  Brandon is a professional ice hockey player from Canada so there was a large Canadian contingent and this place shows off our wee country like no other.  Kirsty and Brandon are not only two gorgeous people they are a lot of fun and I had the privilege of working with Marryokes as they captured the day in song- such a good idea for an alternative wedding video.  Anyway, here is a selection of the photos from this stunning day…

Claire & Mark’s Wedding at the Clandeboye Lodge

A couple of years ago I met Claire when she was a Bridesmaid for her best friend Amanda’s wedding in the Old Inn at Crawfordsburn, we had a great time then but now it was Claire’s turn to be centre stage and I was delighted to be asked to come back and record her special day.  Claire and Mark are a lovely couple and every aspect of the day was meticulously planned.  All the hard work paid off.  It was a real treat to be a part of.  This is the first wedding I have done with a first look shoot; just before the ceremony Claire and Mark met to see each other for the first time away from the crowds, I felt very lucky to be allowed to capture this special moment for them…

Gillian & Richard in Ballywalter and Crawfordsburn

The May day weekend continued and as thousands of people ran rings around Belfast I continued on my wedding marathon.  Richard has photographed a couple of weddings himself so it was a real privilege to be asked to capture his big day! From the service (in the church where his mum used to be the minister) to the bridesmaid dresses made by June, Gillian’s sister, the whole day had a very intimate and personal feeling.  These two certainly don’t need to be asked to have a cuddle which made my job of capturing the romance of the day pretty easy!  A joy to be a part of it all, thanks folks…
